The January sale at Room With a Past starts Thursday night so Jordann and I went to set up our shelf yesterday. We started off at a local Japanese restaurant for lunch with some friends. Not my favorite but it was a fun experience.
The photos below are just some highlights from our shelf and around the shop.
Hope you enjoy them and if you are local come by and see the shop. I’ll be working Saturday morning from 9:00 – 1:00.
I made a bracelet display from a piece of red velvet.
This was Jordann’s favorite jewelry box. It’s great to display bracelets in and the I AM LOVED bracelet is my favorite this month.
This is my favorite jewelry box this month. Of course… my favorite color. And I love the hearts on the front.
Love is the theme in the shop this month!
I found this vintage lipstick holder last week. We’ve had a lot of these in the shop lately. Just right for holding my earrings.
There’s always lots of creatively painted furniture in the shop. This is just one example.
This isn’t turquoise but it is blue. These bracelets are made with faceted Amazonite beads. It’s named after the Amazon river, I’m not sure why, because it’s not actually found there and every picture of the Amazon I’ve seen is brown, not blue. Most Amazonite comes from Russia or Colorado.
These are some of my favorite beads. I love the color and the texture. I’ve made several dog tag bracelets with them. And recently I’ve had several requests for 1950 tags. I’ve sold them all and haven’t been able to find more.
So now I’m making the bracelets in the second photo. They are made with reproduction tags so I can make several just like this. And I may make a few with some other beads. They’re available in my Etsy shop along with all the vintage dog tag and skeleton key jewelry I have.
Yeah, I know it’s actually Wednesday but I was working on some turquoise projects yesterday. Christy wanted to order a whole arm party at once so I worked on this group for her. These turquoise colored pieces are actually howlite and magnesite but that saved her a lot of money. And I think it still looks pretty nice. Especially the magnesite, still nice, heavy stone beads.
The olive wood beads actually came from Jerusalem. I was inspired while I was there this spring. Love those wooden beads! This bracelet is also available in my Etsy shop.
The vintage dog tag bracelet is going to be a gift for someone actually born in 1950. Great idea!
My favorite set. For sale on my Facebook page tonight, $18.00.
I’m using a new app called Soldsie to sell on Facebook. It’s working great so far! It allows buyer to just comment “SOLD” on a photo to purchase. Soldsie will automatically send a Paypal invoice — you don’t have to put your email address out there for everyone to see.
Today I got a shipment of new bracelets. I was going to upload them next week but I have so many new items that I decided to start them tonight. The sale is on for the next two days or until they’re sold out so go by my Facebook page and take a look if you’re interested.
Yes, I know it’s not Tuesday… But I was busy setting up at Room With a Past yesterday for the sale that starts tomorrow. So I thought I’d share a photo of a stack of turquoise bracelets that will be available in the shop this weekend. Go to the website to see times and location. I’ll be working Saturday from 10-2 so come see me if you can!
